Living with the girlfiend - day 3

Moving is going ok, I just have lots of stuff and am rubbish at sorting and packing!

Flat is getting there, am a little pissed that there may still be a 12 week wait on the sofa. Unpacking is going slowly as we currently have no furniture in the living room, it is all in my parents garage until the weekend when I move it.

Mind you I am hoping to shift my painting desk and get that set up tonight, which will make me happier.

Oh and I scratched one of kara's god awfully bright pink non-stick pans last night, must find my own pots and pans - I think they are in my parents loft still.

Last night I decided t start watching Firefly again (as it is awesome) whilst building a couple of models.

During a DVD changing "incident" I managed to spill most of a bottle of liquad poly (plastic glue) into the DVD case, destroying all 3 DVD`s.

Queue lots of quite rude words and a very unhappy Leon.

Then he phoned his girlfiend, who had the suggestion to look on iTunes and she would pay if it was on there.

So now I am sitting at work wondering if my laptop has -
A - Caught fire having been left on all night and day.
B - Been disconnected from my parents rather slow wireless network.
C - Actually downloaded the entire run and is waiting for me to get home.
D - None of the above and I have at least got a couple more episodes to watch tonight.

I do like Firefly.

In other news it looks like we get the keys to the flat next friday, the same weekend as the viper event! I plan on going to the vipers and then moving during the evenings the week after.

Well after looking at something like 15ish flats overs the last couple of weeks it looks like we have found one!

It's not the biggest in the world (far from it) but unlike most of the others we have looked at it didn't need any work done to it.

Just waiting for the estate agent to get back to me as to when the current tenent is moving out.

Just to hopefully make my self feel better, what are people thoughts in decorating a rented flat?

A rant about mobile phone insurance

Sorry, it appears the only time post anything is when I am whinging!

As most of you know I have an iPhone, after an "incident" shortly after getting the phone and having to pay to have it replaced I took out insurance from O2 on it.

Now it does not always charge and the battery have died on me a couple of times, which is rather annoying. So thinking to myself that I have O2`s best insurance I tried to claim.

Now it appears O2 did not know that they has told me to go to Apple last year and have only just noticed that for the last year I have had a different phone, thus meaning that the insurance I took out after I had the phone replaced in fact covers the one Apple have had for over a year now.

O2 still claim that they are insuring my phone I just have to prove to them that I got it from apple on there instructions, despite the fact that the insurance was only taken out after I had had it exchanged.

What's worse is O2`s attitude to fuck off and talk to Apple.

Apple can not do enough to help in the matter and are sending me the infomation I need tomorrow via email. O2 (the company that also provides my mobile broadband) will only accept the infomation via fax.

Am I expecting too much?

I have been advised by my doctor NOT to go to the moot this weekend.

This has not made me happy, I may not have a lot of keen for the event itself however I do have responsibilities and really do not want to let anyone down.

I will see how I feel on Thursday morning and decide then.

EDIT -

~I have a stomach infection, nothing really infections just very painful at times.

Oh and I have OC responsibilies as well as IC ones this weekend.

Sorry if this is boring some people but I can't seem to do cuts, etc on my phone.

Today I have a 1 to 1 with the person who did my assesment and score. It looks almost certain that I will lose my job tomorrow and this is meant to be showing that it is not certain. This is a load of crap, the list was drawn up in mid April as the assesment I recieved on Monday was dated the 7th of April.

All in all very unhappy about the way this is being done.

It looks like I have been selected for redundancy at work.

This sucks as I have only been there just over a year and so will get 1 weeks money and nothing from the government!

I haven't been unemployed in over a decade, I hate the thought of being a doll bum.

I really dont know what events I will be able to get to, it looks like outcast is off as maybe GEF and the moot. I will have to see closer to the time.

Oh well may at least get around to ebaying some stuff and doing some painting.

Moot

Some points, nether highs nor low just some points!

The new layout – I liked it. It actually felt like we where somewhere different, however it did make going to see the jackals a bloody long walk.

Set up – Having never been on site early enough to do set up, I actually had a good time.

Staffing – I was a little worried about this as it fucked up my event before, however I think I may have found the ideal job (short of being an NPC) within the LT.

GOD – staff where very helpful but where not helped by the lack of database all weekend, it was rather frustrating!

Rituals – Mildly annoyed that the necromantic team couldn't get a slot to do a necromantic ritual at the necromantic circle due to not knowing who actually had the ritual paperwork for the faction until it was too late. However the results seem to have been a bit hit and miss all weekend, with unexpected results from rituals.

Plot – Didn’t get to see or interact with as much plot as I would have liked, mostly due to the next point.

IC paranoia – Was fun at first but added to the fact that I couldn’t buy any osps until Sunday afternoon meant that I felt confined to camp. It did help me remember why I love the Vipers so much.

Weather – Was ok apart from when on Monday no cars where allowed, this did suck. Also in the suckage was the asthma attack after carrying a load to the car!

Tents – I took my bell tent for the first time this year as I have missed the social factor in having one! Really dislike not having my car 6 foot away when taking it down and packing it up though. May just take my pop up tent to the GEF.

Loresheet madness - I am annoyed about some of the changes to sliding specials, it feels like they are moving the goal posts again. I wonder how long it will be until only tier 4`s can create. However apart from the slap across the board, I think vampires came off the best (+1 base hit FTW).

All in all I had fun, didn’t do nearly enough and have a load of stuff to do already at the GEF. Also got my high magic recharged for another year.

Didn’t get home until 22:30 on Monday night and went into work at 7am yesterday, gave up on work at 11:30am and booked half days holiday – slept all afternoon and most of the night!

All in all a good event.
